Pakistan Super League’s franchise Quetta Gladiators worth 1.1 million dollars, owned by Omar Associates is representing the city of Pakistan. The name Quetta Gladiators and its logo were revealed on 19 December 2015 in an event by team owner Nadeem Omar to get things ready to rock.

Like all other 4 teams, the Quetta Gladiators have 11 national and 5 overseas players in their squad which includes the Iconic player Kevin Pietersen from England, Sarfraz Ahmed Captain, Ahmed Shehzad Pakistani opener, Anwar Ali pacer, Jason Holder from West Indies, Luke Wright also from England, Zulfiqar Babar left arm off break, Umar Gul (Gully), Elton Chigumbura Zimbabwean, Bilal Asif, Asad Shafiq, Mohammad Nawaz, Saad Nasim, Mohammad Nabi, Akbar-ur-Rehman, Bismillah Khan, Kumar Sangakkara, Aizaz Cheema, Rameez Raja Junior.

Former Pakistan captain and World Cup winner Moin Khan has been appointed as head coach of Quetta Gladiators. The most experienced Moin has also served as former head coach, chief selector and team manager of the Pakistan national team in the past.

While Ian Pont will be Quetta’s fielding coach along with Julien Fountai, Shahid Aslam has been selected as bowling coach for the Quetta Gladiators.

The side looks decent with a strong batting department especially in the middle order, while bowling looks also amazing with a balanced fast and spin attacks. With a variety of young talents Quetta Gladiators are all set to upset in their first opening match that will be played in Sharjah against Islamabad United on Thu, Feb 04, 2016.
